Sunflower Poem by Bernard Onoja

Sunflower

Rating: 5.0

In a great and far away country in West Africa
A quiet and gentle soul stood
Earnestly expecting the bounties of heaven
In total surrender to the ambience of nature

Providence rewards the meek in heart
Especially those who wait on Adonai
The price to pay for His blessings is worth it
Never ending search for it's magnitude and grandeur

The Iroko tree knows this and lives long
All elements of nature bow before Him
I peeped into the presence of the creator
Behold! I found my precious gift

A dimension of grace and joy unspeakable
This gift radiates warmth and balances my life
A sad heart is made merry
Rejuvenating from the environmental stressors

A panoramic view with the eagles eyes
Always looking forward to her warm embrace
Melting every difficulty and strenghting my bones
Superwoman and messenger of heaven

I peeped into the presence of the creator Behold! I found my precious gift the messenger of heaven, the beauty of nature, flowers, trees, mountains, rivers..... all are created for us to deem it as a precious gift..... very nice thought leading from nature to spirituality.. tony
