Serial Dater Poem by susette varga

Serial Dater

So you found yourself someone new
I truly feel sorry for you
I really do
Fools rush in where
Angels fear to tread
How many more in your bed?

Ten years from now
I'm sure you will find
She was not the type
To stick around
No longer there
Just was not your kind

Serial daters simply
Do not find
The perfect partner
In their mind

Flitting around
From person to person
Disregarding
Fundamental emotions

Will you encounter
The real love you pursue
I think not
Serial daters
Rarely do
