Serve-Attitude Poem by Patrick Akhudu

Serve-Attitude

Servants of the people
Blessed are you, chosen
To help your people
Their tongues should sing
Praises of good service.

Blessed are you, servants
Whose eyes see all equal
Men and women
Brothers of foreign tongue
Or those abled differently
And in fairness unity and love
Share the collective cake
For your name will shine

Blessed are you, bosses
When you accord all:
The weak of age
The boundless of youth
The classed and the unclassed
Respect, courtesy and civility
For you'll be highly esteemed.

Blessed are you, officers
When you offer timely service
Allowing the land to thrive fast
Recognizing time is money
For your name will grow on time

Blessed are you, chief
When in swiftness
You share word on trend
Allowing for convenient planning
Fond words will ring in your ear

Blessed are we, citizens
When we give reports
To challenge servants
To encourage chiefs
To strengthen bosses
For we shall delightfully
Receive good service
In a value based society.
