Set Up Boundaries Poem by Tribhuvan Mendiratta

Set Up Boundaries

Uncertainties, generating fear,
Unfurling feelings of hopelessness
Sigh! Everybody experiences negative thoughts
May provoke acute mental illnesses!
Mental health deterioration no one accepts
Professional guidance no one seeks
Out with engulfing, impending sense of doom,
Start from the very bottom,
Working the way towards the finish line.
When life knocks hard,
Throws unexpected surprises
Mental health drives resilience,
To bounce back from uncalled-for setbacks.
SO, why not!
Set Up Boundaries
Put on own oxygen masks
Before putting it on for others!
Engage in Activities That Relax
Devote quality time to personal well-being,
Divert yourself to express creative juices
Identify Personal Strengths
Draw from strengths rectifying weaknesses.
Build a Ritual with Loved Ones
An anchor in tough times!
A cup of tea with a few close friends
Do something with the loved!
Family, friends, or a pet!
Voice Emotions Calmly Politely
Not emotionally over-burdening someone
While attempting to unburden self!
Be polite and calm in your deportment,
Even while telling the worst of something,
Yes, Set Up Boundaries
