Seven Wonders Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Seven Wonders

Long ago, across the lands,
Built by busy, skilled hands.
Seven sights, a wondrous view,
Amazing things, for me and you.

Pyramid tall, in desert sand,
Still it stands, a mighty hand.
Gardens hung, a green delight,
Did they bloom, with all their might?

Temple grand, for goddess bright,
Shone and fell, in day and night.
Zeus sat high, a king so grand,
Sculpted well, across the land.

Tomb of stone, a ruler's rest,
Built with art, the very best.
Giant man, of shining brass,
Watched the ships, as they would pass.

Towering light, by sea so wide,
Guiding boats, with gentle stride.
Seven wonders, old and grand,
Stories told, from every land.
