Sever Poem by Mycho Jamil

Sever

I climb to the roof to find solace
As I wipe these tears off my face
I look up and see this magnificent star
I simply wonder if you see it where you are

The chilly wind, gushing through my skin
It calls out to me, luring me in
And it softly whispers our memories
Putting it all together to speak of our stories

It's impossible to forget
All the things we've both shared
And I don't even regret
That both of us loved and cared

But now, everything's faltering;
Away, the lovebirds fluttering
Our end is inevitably definite
For our time is undoubtedly finite

Like the sky, overcame by dusk
On the streets the people busk
And there's twilight in the near end
It's a dichotomy; you now can't fend

The moments we've had were full of bliss
And they are all the things I sorely miss
Even if our world may be ephemeral,
Meeting you was never coincidental
