Severance Poem by Karthi satheesan

Severance

Rating: 5.0

Like evening sun and sky we part
With red tears brimming with pain
Sometimes the deepest feelings
Ain't got no name

Summer comes and leaves cry for rain
Their cries rustle in the wind
This land with no water nor rain
Here we bid goodbye

Withered leaves in paves
Mourning in their graves
Soil so parched
The cracks resemble our hearts

Cries of Raven over our heads
A drip of sweat down ur forehead
Somewheremiles down the way
Petals gave away
And flowers made their way

Here in this land of none
Where the leaves beg for rain
One more time let me
Hold ur hand kiss ur lips
And bid farewell one last time.
