Shackled Poem by Eloida Capuno

Shackled

Rating: 3.0

flickers of hope dimmed
for the long oppressed souls
fighting for their longest battle
empty stomachs longing to be free
from the shackles of poverty

nobody cares; the self proclaimed
buster of greed himself
holds the key to the lock and
chains that bind them
