The shades of me i let you see
you think you can see all of me
i wonder what it's like to be
i know what it means to free

there's someone crying
as i lay inside dying
wishing i were flying
in the sunlight rising

the entire time i look at you
i think i can just see right through
but there's something there i never knew
and the feeling makes me a little blue

i'm killing to be me now
and i can't tell anyone else how
the little things will cause a WOW
when the shades of me all fall down.
