Shadow Poem by Julie Day

I am so lost in the shadow of doubt.
No one hears me, my voice or sees me at all just the shadow someone else casts over me.
Either by my mother or my sister or even my brother matters not.
I am so lost in the shadow of doubt, I'm not sure who I am anymore.
I see someone different when I look in the mirror its someone who is older and braver than she has ever been before.
But I am afraid I will never see that little girl who used to get lost in strange, new worlds everyday.
She is lost in the shadow of doubt, I am afraid the little girl I once know that she will be sent adrift in the chaotic sea of reality.
