Shadow Games Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Shadow Games

Out of the darkness I came,
Light the fire from a flame,
Brightness follows me around,
But there the shadow,
Still remains,
I go back and frow,
It follows me every wear,
I go,
I hide,
But still there,
Longer,
Liner,
But still there,
How can I shake this thing,
Gray matter that clings to everything,
Darkness I guess,
But I wish not to go,
back to that,
Void less temptress.
