Shadows
Shadows surrounded my heart
Anger tore my world apart
For so long I hid my soul from everyone
Just to keep everything from coming undone
Then you came along and kicked down my walls
Out poured the real me just like a waterfall
You opened my eyes to the beautiful place we found
And I can’t even imagine you not being around
I see through you eyes all that can be
Thank you my angel for setting me free
I’ve never felt this way before
Your caring heart has opened so many doors
Doors I thought were locked forever
Now when we are together
I know I’m strong enough to face anything
Because you have given me the shelter of your wings
You are so many things to me
Thank you for making me see
All that life and lave can be.
