Shadows Of Death Poem by sabrina helphrey

Shadows Of Death

footsteps echo
bouncing from one thick wall
to the next
the heart beat races
breathing becomes shallow
everything is a blur
looking down the tunnel
wondering why
shadows start to constrict
an overwhelming pain
trying to get relief
there's just pain
the tunnel ends
but only shadows remain
