Shadows Of Death Poem by MATSEPE MOLEFI

Shadows Of Death

SHADOWS OF DEATH

I pray only pray,
I cry only cry,
I try only try,
I yell only yell,

Hoping to change this fate.
Wishing to change this sorrow.
Thoughts almost saturated,
For this nightmare might turn into a dream.

But what do we do?
What do we change?
What do we give?
What do we share?

When our hearts are filled with death.
When we are at our death beds.
when fate reveals its destiny.
When the lamb of life prepares to turn off and bluer.

When shadows of death are taking by,
When shadows of death are closing all the curtains.
When shadows of death are here?

No for our loved ones,
Not for our enemies,
Not for our teachers,
Not for our pastors,
Yet for you
But for you
Only for you.
