Shadows That Pass And Re-Pass Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Shadows That Pass And Re-Pass

Shadows that pass and re-pass
And the dread grows
With every photo in the brain
Aching of the heart

Xerophytes of thirst of humid graves
Images that silent lament
Bird twitters that divert
The peace and unacceptability, both.

Cells that peace exude
Voice that melodious
Breaks issue the dusk
And dawn, supportive

And I the background loom the airy mists.
Of Mnemosyne and Morpheus, both.

The heavens immense and the waters each other's hands hold
