Shakespeare!
You were a suave man
And so let us face it fair and square -
You have made your name
Attained much glory and fame
And the imprints of your work
Shall remain ever embedded in the pages of the human mind
And yet,
Do you have a well-delineated face?
On the other hand
Mona Lisa, the enigmatic lady
With an equally enigmatic smile
Has a well-delineated face
For which she has garnered much name and fame -
And yet what she lacks
Is a clear identity
For none really know with certitude who she really was.
And so, if we now sum it up
Doesn't it emerge that a persons' face matters not the least?
And for that matter, what matters
Is the merit of the work that he has done -
The work of the great bard
The work of the great renaissance artist
And the work of individuals in their respective field
Which still steals the spotlight
And hold us spell bound!
