She Poem by angelica arroyo

She

She holds me as I wheep and whispers in my ear, "you're going to be okay." I look up into her eyes where I behold stars dancing within galaxies. I fall in love with her, for what it feels like the first time. Her arms embrace the parts of me that are mending from years of agony and self torture like Willow roots breaking through rock to nurture oneself. Her lips press against my forehead; I am a part of she as much as she is a part of me. She is every star, and I am a small earth in her orbit. I lay my head on her chest and hear the sound of life, feel the fathomless rhythm of time, and smell her body's fragrance, in which, leaves me in a state of serenity.
