She Believed... Poem by Ruth Amaya

She Believed...

She believed everything happen for a reason
And yet, this happened without a reason
The naïve, innocent soul wounded by the traitor she once binded trusted with her live.
She believed the source of his words were from his gently heart
It turned out to be from his evil, deceitful soul
He presented himself as charming as the word fulfill
A gentleman, a prince without his horse and a cape
as we are a century too late
Scars from wounds still fresh in her mind
Of events that she believe would be true to the end
Never again to trust when words flow too easily
To point out the obvious of a beautiful well center soul.
