She Can’t See Her Pain - Poem by Richard Noggin
She can’t see her pain
No matter how she tries
There is no escape
Not even when she shuts her eyes
She carries around much sadness
But the grief is hard to see
She seldom lets her guard down
So very few can see
Her pain is her addiction
Although she would disagree
She tries to mask her sorrow
To pretend she is in ecstasy
Whenever she senses happiness
A reign of terror falls
And pain is what she reaches for
Till melancholy calls
Cause she can’t see her pain
No matter how she tries
There is no escape
Not even when she shuts her eyes
