She Is Mary Poem by Chris Lane

She Is Mary

Rating: 5.0

In the Horse Shoe Café
Mary spoke of her childhood
In Ballingeary

“The lawns were well mown
Animals that feed there
Cherished each blade
Of green.'

She is Mary.
Still Gael
Still Teach

Occasionally in Ballingeary
Mary sees Topiary animals
On manicured lawns.
