She Rests Her Eyes Upon You Softly
She did not surrender herself
Nor wear her clothing tight
She did not flirt with the mirror
Nor did she parade herself at night
She did not accentuate her beauty
Nor have the usual fears to fight
Golden haired beauty, nature's jewel
Moon eyes glowing, pleasantly engaged
Life like wine is sweetened pleasure
Balanced lightly upon each moment
Her thoughtful words afloat and soothing
Her broken heart humbled by such sorrow
With dignity and natural grace
She rests her eyes upon you softly
Mindful of the world around her
She never waivers nor loses touch
Never surrendering to her daily trials
Leaving me to dream of her happy smile.

Pravata neelolpala nirrvisesham Adheera viprekshitam aayatakshya tayaa griheetam nu mrigaanaganabhyas- tato griheetam nu mriganganabhi. (Kumara Sambhavan- describing Uma's attaining adolescence) . (Her quick glances caused her eyes to move like a blue lotus flower in a slow breeze. Wonder, whether she 'borrowed' it from the female deer or the the deer borrowed it from her!) Great work.
