Shake Them Blues Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

Shake Them Blues

When you are so full of yourself
Pour yourself out and begin again
When you are on the wrong course
Mark that mile and now begin

Oh that tired song has been sung
Don't you know that voice is your own?
Forget all those things you have done
Now take another way home

Wake up from that miserable sleep
The blues will not find you today
Be as good as the promise you keep
Rise up and get on your way.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Some choose to believe that there is no such thing as free will. They fail to see the irony in that which always leaves me amused. If you can realize self awareness then you can change. You can start fresh or you can throw your hands up in the air and surrender to the unaccountable law of fate and play the victim of your circumstance. The choice is yours.....you have the free will to choose or not.

Very well said... An open heart and mind make a happy soul who can deal with any changes. Positive thinking and a smile is the way to go.
