She's Got Buddy Holly Eyes Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

She's Got Buddy Holly Eyes

She don't like frames of platinum or gold
And contacts kind of make her cry
When she wears her glasses she wants to look bold
She's got Buddy Holly Eyes

Could it be she likes his music too
Could it be she's got fifties pride
When she bought them she thought they look cool
She's got Buddy Holly Eyes

Her leather jacket's cool
Her Racing hot rod is to
Her record collection's not new
She's more than just a fan of Elvis
It's 50s gold dust
She's got Brenda Lee sighs
She's got Buddy Holly eyes

If you want to take her to a new rock show
She might just wonder why
She likes Rock N Roll that's really old
She's got Buddy Holly Eyes

She eats at malt shops too
She likes cheese burger and fries
She's a fifties sentimental fool
She's got Buddy Holly eyes

She's got the saddle shoes
The bobby socks too
Her Vintage clothing's cool
She knows just where to shop
She's the Queen of the local sock hop
She's got Peggy Lee thighs
She's got Buddy Holly eyes

i 'had to' read this line x2. Glad i did. " She's got Brenda Lee sighs" At first i thought it said " eyes" and thought: " Does this girl have FOUR eyes? ! ! ! " " Charles Hardin Holley, known professionally as Buddy Holly, was an American musician and singer-songwriter who was a central and pioneering figure of mid-1950s rock and roll" 'Buddy Holly Eyes" is a 50's surprise (poem) . to MyPoemList bri :)
