She's Holding On Poem by Elie Lugo

She's Holding On

Rating: 4.5

A little girl I saw today
She had bruises that were faded gray
It wasnt the bruises that caught my eye,
It was that I only saw her cry.

Everytime I saw her she was crying.
Every tear made it known that she was hiding.
Hiding from everything that she always feels.
She wants to feel a love that's truly real.

(Chorus) : Everyday she goes out and cries out to the sky. She used to pray that soon it came her time to die. But now she tries to get her heart to be heeled, from the cracks and the holes that have already peeled...most of her life away. She's holding on.

In School, she keeps her head bent down low.
Trying to hide all of the pain that might show.
It's not like anyone sees her at all anyway,
She hopes that she will have someone here for her some day.

(Chorus) :

I have seen her pain.
I feel it too.
We are the same,
and sometimes its our lifes that we rue.

So open your eyes and be here for her.
You know she loves you like a mother.
And if you dont just take a glance,
Please give our hearts just a little chance.

(Chorus)

She's holding on... Hold on just a little longer. Someone should catch you before you fall...

There was something familiar
About that girl i saw.
Then i realized
It was me after all.

(CHorus)
