You were the one who stood by me when no one else would.
You were the on that gave me love that my family should.
You are the one I'll call if I'm in trouble.
You are the one I trust.
You are the only one I let into my 'bubble'.

I'm the one who started talking.
I'm the one who, atfirst, could say nothing.
I'm the one who looks up to you.
I'm the one who goes to you when I don't know what to do.
I'm the one who started saying 'Boriqua Mommy'.

YOU
You are the one that said you wouldn't abandon me.
You are the only one who can calm me.
You are the only one I talk to.
You are the one I love like a mommy.

I'm the one that's scared things will go bad.

YOU
You are the one who comforts me when I'm sad.

THEN
Then it seemed like you really did care.
Then it seemed like you really did love me.

NOW
Now, i still continue to love you like a mommy.
