She's More Attractive Than Me Poem by chris schwartz

She's More Attractive Than Me

She keeps you up all night
Just thinking of how
You're gonna make her
Light shine.
You get dressed up
For her, every single day
You put in sixteen hours
Can't put her away
You don't care
What you leave behind.
She's your whole world
She's every breath you take
You keep on pushing
Just to make her great.
She's your everything;
Your one shot in life
And you can't put her away.

Boy, you been chasing rainbows
And watching sunsets
Without seeing the eye
Of the storm.
You been running after
Almighty dollars
But your missing out
On the thunder
From the one
Who's keeping you warm.
Keep on running after her
Trying to get ahead
And the storm's gonna
Sweep you away.
You better realize
Before it's too late
She's just the eye
Of your Hurricane.

Better slow it down, babe
Better take a deep breath
And see
That we are still just one
It's all coming undone
Turning into
You and me.
Your dream of her
Ain't gonna carry you through
And it sure ain't carrying me
Late nights
Mixed with alcohol
Are the prison that sets
Me free.
From
Your Company.
