I Love The Rain Poem by chris schwartz

I Love The Rain

Rating: 5.0

Think I'll curl up in bed
As I always do
You thinking of me
And me thinking of you.
Close my eyes to the rain
On the windowsill,
Of moments past,
God, I want you still.
Time sets the sun
On the sunsets remembered
The crests on the moon
Shadows kissed
With the concrete
Of forever.
Blankets draped over us
Cozy and wrapped
But once we would have
Carelessly tossed them
Aside, in the heat,
Of the love
We made together.
Oh, life is so teasing
And cruel!
It curbs the ravenous hunger
Of my youth
For just a mere second
Before washing it away
Flooding me
Drowning me
With the sorrow
Of my fleeting
Existance.
