She Was Wondering

She was wondering
Through the night
Are the legs ready
To run in fright

Will he come to haunt
Will he come to kill
He had died a while ago
But still

Will he tear me up
And eat me
Will he just rope me up
To tease me?

Will he shout at me
For love I could not give
Will he brace my arms
And dance with me?

Will he forgive me for all
I ever did never
Will he get on with what
He never experienced before?

I am in thinking
Eyes not blinking
The farthest crow winking
Yakking at my distress

The old woman
Has come,
And lit the room..

She was wondering
Through the night
Are the legs ready
To run in fright
She was wondering
Through the night
Are the legs ready
To run in fright
