Contemplation

Rating: 5.0

If for one moment you are told
That what you wished has gotten old
It's time gone, opportunity past
No fragment left, nothing that could last
You would wonder at first
With awe at time
You would grasp your hands tight
And contemplate
Over the remarkable coincidence
That you were foolish enough
To be tricked as every other
Expecting that to happen
What you desired
When you fired,
Your thoughts
About what could be taken for Self
At that very moment from the Shelf
Fell the sandclock of time
Reminding you
It is quicker than you
And it shall not wait
For you to further contemplate
During your wait,
When you shall be thinking of another plan..
On how to amend
The bend
That fate upheld
For your Destiny
Sheer mutiny!
You frown
And hit your head on your open hands
What's that?
Ah yes, the candle light is getting brighter
It's warmth is refreshing the room
With fresh odour of bottled cherub
You help yourself
To a glass of liquid intoxication
And play around with the object
That is driving you mad
As the candle glows brighter
You go lighter and lighter
Away from the sadness engulfing you..
