She Won Poem by Ray Hansell

She Won

She fought such a hard fight
Refusing to give in
When one fights for their life
All they want is a win

She fought for the right
To go on living
Knowing that in her heart
Her survival wasn't a given

We never know in life
How we will be tested
It's sad that anyone
Even has to be selected

The scar's that she wears
Shows what she's overcome
Cancer tried to beat her
But, in the end she won
