She Wronged Herself Poem by RIC BASTASA

She Wronged Herself

Rating: 5.0

what was wrong?
she took a corner
and put herself there
for the whole day
she stayed denying
the demands of
movements like
the way the fingers
must wriggle for the
hands like the way
the hair must dance
with the wind to
freshen the scalp
to make the brain
alive to put life to
her eyes

everything is wrong
she wronged herself.
