Shed A Tear Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Shed A Tear

When the emotions sometimes run wild,
The sadness consumes me like a child.
When I'm scared, I won't hide my fear,
I'm not too ashamed to shed a tear.

As the hurt puts my entire body in pain,
And the blood courses through my veins.
As I struggle to try to keep my head clear,
I'm not too ashamed to shed a tear.

Even when everything is going wrong,
I do my best to try to always stay strong.
When I don't want to look in a mirror,
I'm not too ashamed to shed a tear.

Even when all the confusion sets in,
And all the world is covered in sin.
When everything still seems so unclear,
I'm not too ashamed to shed a tear.

After all the times people had to forsake,
And after all the times I've seen heartache,
I can now start to see things so clear,
I'm not too ashamed to shed a tear.
