Sheena Poem by MILO WYATT

Sheena

Ten years have gone by
and, I haven't forgotten my little girl
one thing I know for sure
it's now, a very different world
Sheena, you made me proud
for I was, a father of two
you warmed my heart in autumn
and for that, I'll always love you
When you left, winter followed
and your mother mournfully cried
I stood by....empty
while a part of me died
Your big sister, Jodie
at the time, was only two
but I know, in her heart
she will always, remember you
Your mother and I stood
side by side, on a starry night
we saw your beauty, in a shooting star
until, it fell out of sight
Ten years have gone by
and your still, my little girl
you haven't changed at all
but it is a different world!
