Shelter Poem by Debra Miller

Shelter

Within love's embrace,
sheltered from harm,
escape from life's torment,
recessed into calm.
Gentle caress
displaces fear,
heart's whispered promises
drawing you near.
Lingering secrets,
entrusted shared thought,
upon love's sacred kiss
relinquish self doubt.
Hope drawing strength
'pon fate's labored breath,
cascading tears stream
from within the soul's depth.
