Shifty Eyes Poem by Francis Duggan

Shifty Eyes

Some people are false and deceitful and they live by their lies and their guile
They cheat and deceive other people and after about it they smile
And I know of one he's a conman a lower form of crook in disguise
And he is worthy of his nickname the one people call shifty eyes.

Shifty eyes for him an apt name he cannot look one straight in the face
And one could never say about him that his heart is in the right place
He takes advantage of gullible women they fall for him in a big way
And when he must pay his dues to karma a very big price he will pay.

He can turn on the charm when he has to and some women for his good looks fall
And some lonely women are vulnerable and later with anger they recall
How he cheated them out of thousands to him their life savings they've lost
Their trust on him by him was shattered and their love for him came at a cost.

It can be said of him he is a low life and he has left some women badly off
By deceit he's stolen their savings and later about it he scoff
How can he live with himself I wonder he does not have a sense of shame
He has stolen thousands through deception and he sees it as a funny game.

What goes around always comes around the believers in karma do say
And when karma it catches up with him to it a huge price he will pay
He has ruined the lives of decent women and stolen from them through deception and lies
And he is a despicable person the fellow known as Shifty Eyes.
