Shoestrings (And A Bag) Poem by Weldon Davis

Shoestrings (And A Bag)

Life is funny
So I laugh :)
All that I own
Shoestrings and a bag

Shoestrings and a bag
In my property
Puts my perspective in place
Properly: /

That I've been humbled
From the extravagance
I once had ($$$)
To my sole possessions now

Shoestrings and a bag

We enter with nothing and will leave it behind. Great perspective, Weldon

Yeah that's part of it Mr. Kurt...To me this poem represents a realization that materialism is shallow and that there is a certain beauty of owning nothing..Being able to step out in the world and start over from scratch and accepting that..Also coming to see that our possessions do not define us..To be cliche..It's whats on the inside that counts
