Shooting Me Down Poem by kayla fountain

Shooting Me Down

lied that i was becoming weak
i needed you
i was needing you to care for me and wouldnt let you
denied our love
i wasnt gonna let myself fall but ended tumbling
now all i'm left with is a memory of you
your red hair in the wind and no more looking back
you got that other girl around your arm
telling me that you want it to be me
but it aint
now who sounds dumb
now i make my regrets
hopeing i wont get shot down
willing to do whatever
but obviously i need to do more than whatever
now all i know is your no longer mine
i can no longer look into your brown eyes and see the love
hopeing you wont shoot me down
