Should I have known
I would have slept till next dawn
That I would have gained not at end day
No sign of gay not even at the bay
Oh what a wasted day
I trek a mile
But all that while across I come no smile
All swollen are and sullen
The weather dementing, so it is in readiness
To suck out the happiness
Oh what a wasted day
In all I try to do I err
Where success is near others deter
Where I lie and seek rest
Irritating chatterboxes are at best
In music I seek console
But am greeted with news of sorrow
Oh! should I have known,
The misery of the day today
I would have slept till the NEXT DAWN! ! ! ! ! !
