SHRINE OF LOVE
Matloob Bokhari
O moving melody
In the twilight of morning
Delicate as a white lily flower
Beautiful as full moon, pure as sunlight
Riding on fragrant breeze floating over
Mountain peaks, happy flowers and longing trees
Holding a cup of wine full of love
Met me in the temple of peace
Dancing with the white clouds
Singing with drops of musical rain
Showed me the path of true love
O whirling dancer
You are beautiful, you are beautiful
You came like rising sun, like morning air you passed away

Your beauty built a holy shrine of true love in my soul
Your fragrance breathed life in the beat of my heart
Where whirling darveshes in ecstasy are singing glory of God
Where forgiveness, kindness and patience are dwelling with divine delight
Where vile and virtuous; sinners and saints are praying in still silence
Where budding flowers, humming bees and whistling leaves in unison are reading Quran
Where orange sky, purple clouds and smiling earth are praying with love
Where truth, beauty, love and mercy are kneeling night and day

Where all the followers of One God are on knees in peace
