RIC BASTASA

Shying Away.... - Poem by RIC BASTASA

it is not the falsity that makes
someone shy away
it is the truth that like a turtle
plunges deep inside a pail
of left-overs
showing its head only
when all of them
leave

and as he again recovers
his privacy
he finally shows the house
of its body.
