Shyness Poem by A J.

Shyness

Strangers on the bus
on the bench
at a restaurant
anywhere
people like me with two eyes, a nose, and mouth
how do some approach them
seemingly so leisurely
while I clam up almost seizurely
and my beating heart drags me away
with calming whisper
'another day'
