Sibyls Cry Out: Part Ii (14 Improvisation 01 22 2005) Poem by Lee B. Mack

Sibyls Cry Out: Part Ii (14 Improvisation 01 22 2005)

whining but living with spirit names
the gods cry out to explain
in the ear by the melody
we hear names to call all things
I want but these are gods of fear
who have no ear to hear but speak
in the sacred backbeat songs of Meroe
and have no voice to say
how the word is that the gods
sneak in on innocence
would rather they share

your strong reed melodies
the speaking Spirit voices
of Aeolian arrangement of taste
to suffice for the strong and derived
and how
now are my eyes filled with wonder
at the vanity of the unknowing

and the unforgiving wise
the speaking Spirit
need speak no more of flavors,
for I, for sure must have grown
knowing
the sibyls crying out again.
