Siddhidayak Vinayaka, The Gypsy Girls With The Statues Of Ganesha Going Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Siddhidayak Vinayaka, The Gypsy Girls With The Statues Of Ganesha Going

I saw the gypsies
Making the idols
Of Siddhidayak Vinayaka
By the roadside pavements,
Drying the idols,
Carving out of clay,
Chiselling and painting
Lively,
Lively Ganeshas
And going with the idols
To sell
The gypsy,
Gypsy girls,
Small-small gypsy daughters,
Daughters
Uncouth and clumsy,
clumsy
But,
But with
Beautiful,
Beautiful Ganeshas,
Beautiful Ganesha idols
Into the arms of theirs,
Theirs
Mythical,
Mythical Ganeshas.
