Sigh Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Sigh

Traveling afar
Wide and willing
Magically uncharted
With a breezy warmth
Helping me
Fly up
The highest of heights

Paradise everywhere
These visions seizing so much light
Shining kingdom of grace
As the sun ignites
The skies delight

Then hope, it intensifies

Traveling onward
Even further
Abroad divine
Dreaming afar
Beyond the width of wide
In the celebration
Of a brand new uncharted life

Oh, what a ride
Going even further away
Inside my restless mind!

If only it all truly existed
On the furthest of reaches
Truce upon this psychical sublime

So be it

Waiting to be shined on again
This time, for real
How does reality feel?

Sigh
Sigh
And more sighs

Being stuck
Is not who I really am
In this current life

Today is the sigh of my time
