Signed Bible Poem by Randy McClave

Signed Bible

I will not buy a signed Bible
That I will take wherever that I go,
The one that I will read everyday
The one that won't be just for show.
I keep my bible upon my coffee table
And I will take it with me wherever I am guided,
To me my bible is very precious
To me it is never one sided.
I don't care about the material of the cover
I don't care about the fancy printed pages,
And I don't care about the size of the Bible
I don't care how it looks and ages.
I won't use it to show it off to others
Because, no celebrity name is signed,
Nor will I brag on how much I paid for it
With applauds growing in my mind.
I won't buy it from a celebrity to make a dollar
And then believe what they had said,
I won't believe what comes from their lips
I will believe only the Biblical words I have read.
The Bible that I will hold and will use
That I always comfortably read from daily,
It is autographed by no-one all
From America, Rome or Spain or New Deli.
It won't be a Bible signed by a pastor
And it won't be one signed by a president,
Nor will it be signed by a nonbeliever
Or by any Rome resident.
The Bible that I have is just an app
A 'FREE' download was the purchase price,
It's on my computer and it's not signed
But, on my heart is my Lord's name, Jesus Christ.
