Silence. Poem by Bria Age

Silence.

On a cold and moonless night,
When the stars are dark and dull.
The skies look endless and forbidden,
The sea ever so calm and quiet,

So inviting like it's calling me.
I have to answer to its whisper.
So I jump in and feel the crisp, cool water,
I hear muffled cries of help,

and I realize it's me...
So as I hear more cries of help,
I see my life flash in front of me,
My first dance, My first kiss,

My first relationship that ended in tears.
My family,
Mom, Dad, My sister and My brother.
I hear my heart pounding.

It's slowing, slower, slower
And it finally stops.
The muffled cries of help stop.
The sea is quiet,
And so is the sky.
