Silence Poem by Riley Choma

Silence

Rating: 4.5

Silence; an absence of sound but louder than any.

Like drowning you feel suffocation with-in imperfection.

It's the anxiety that follows the depression.

The stress like a throbbing with-in you; under pressure.

The blood in your veins hits boiling point.

Unable to think clearly, a vision hazy and red follows.

Reality hits you hard and your throat tightens around the words you hold back.

Silence; a certainty and reality you'll never swallow.

You are far gone but somehow sill breathing.

No more caution, show me reckless.

Expression is unwanted unless it's what they wish to see and hear.

Hand cuffed by society, and locked away in the prison of your thoughts.

Silence a killer of might; you are loosing the battle.

Giving up the fight like a stick of TNT lite from both ends...
