Silence Poem by Sujoy Bhattacharya

Silence

Calmness crawls in my closet to cohabit with tranquillity!
Your presence I feel everywhere.
The wind carries the aromatic odour of your body.
I get startled with the pleasant hope
of seeing your mortal presence again.
My wounded hope chide the wind for
playing such a heart shattering flippant deception!
The delight - drizzling chirping of morning birds
reminds me of many thrilling memories!
I time travel to those fragrant recollections that
revive my exuberance to dance with my mental hilarity.
The floating clouds sob with misty tears as they could not
bring you back on my baleful request.
They poured a torrent of briny rain
to reassure me of human mortality.
The twinkling stars sends me a letter solace -
I get immersed into the terrestrial fluid
to benumbmy sensory organs
so that I can sleep to give rest to my insomniac eyes!
