Silence Poem by Peter Bundi

Silence

I speak my words in silence,
For I fear if I shout they might lose their potency
Or an evil bird may catch wind
Or they will just be meaningless to me once spoken
For I find a charming, almost bewitching power in silence
For it seems words really have meaning when one hold dear to one's heart and not a soul more
And there you are chastising me for my silence
But I smile, a silent smile, for I know the beauty that I see in silence,
For in silence I see the star and the moon dancing, I see leafs of the tree laughing in the gentle breeze, I hear the rumble of the seemingly silent rivers.
YES! I meet with the divine in silence
I hear your cynical laughter in silence but i see your mask and I understand
For you are yet to know the bewitching charm that silence hold
