Silence(Haiku) Poem by Zubiya Surti

Silence(Haiku)

On that rainy day,
only frogs croak
Clever Cuckoo remains silent....

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Tulsidas the great hindi poet had written a doha(verse) explaining the importance of silence.he says that on a rainy day the cuckoo bird does not sing as frogs croak and no one will hear its sweet call.it is like this..

Tulsi pavas ke samay,
dhari kokila maun
abh toh dadur bole hai
hame puchi hai kaun?

pavas-monsoon
kokila-cuckoo bird
dadur-frog

I have tried to make a haiku of it.
